The 80s are gone...2013 has arrived!
Hunter green is gone...chocolate brown has arrived with POPS of turquoise.
Floral accents are gone...personalized photo frames have arrived that tell a story.
Brass fixtures are gone...chrome and an antique chandelier have arrived with sparkle and shine!
The focal wall tells a story...which I love. My client took photos of all the street signs that she and her husband had lived on together. They were developed in a sepia tone to compliment the wall color.
The frames all shared the same color tones...brown and metallic with cream mattes help marry the photo collage. I love the story this wall tells...an unexpected conversation starter in an unexpected place...the bathroom!
BEFORE: (blah...)
AFTER: (wow!)
Other accents to be noticed include:
- new toilet and pedestal sink with updated chrome fixtures
- a REpurposed chandelier...this fixture was taken from another part of this 100 year old house and put in this half bath
- updated hand towels in a brown and turquoise paisley pattern, as well as monogrammed with a simple capital H
- tissue box cover and hand soap pump are non-descript, but still "match" the frames on the wall
- the striping on the walls...same chocolate color, but two different sheens
- and, most noticeable in color, the REpainted bathroom mirror in a bright turquoise in a glossy finish.
