Recently I had a client contact me to help her finish her newly constructed built in bookshelves in her family room. She told me she did not have the time or the expertise to do this...she just did not have the "decorating gene"--something I have heard time and again from clients. I happily agreed, but needed to see her space and style first. When I arrived at our meeting, I was eagerly greeted with a long wish list...much more than just adding some finishing touches to her bookshelves. She wanted a whole new feel to her space...it needed to be updated. She also added her powder room to the list...it needed some personality. Below are the before photos:

After discussing a budget, I got busy shopping for her. I sent her a handful of photos via texting as I was shopping to get a yay or nay from her on some items. However, I did not do this with everything because I knew it would overwhelm her. Here are a few shots I sent to her...and she made it super easy for me by responding quickly about what she did or did not like.
